Anyone else have a chance to see this yet?

I saw it the other day, and it is quite good -- none of the cast are country singers, they're all musical theatre students -- but they do a terrific job with the corny material, and seem to be having a good time, and as a result the audience has a good time.

My only complaint -- the canned music accompaniment is so over-amplified that the poor kids have to shout into their mikes to be heard over the sound system...it's cranked way too loud for that teensy weensy venue at the Red Garter Saloon...

Still, it's fun and worth checking out -- by the way, skip ordering food here -- you'll order and wait and wait and wait, and the show will start, and still no food, and somewhere 20 minutes into the show, your lunch will finally arrive, and it will be cold, and the show will end and you will be stuck there killing time eating lunch....it's the slowest food service in the park, and has been for years.

I like that show too! I was kind of skeptical at the beginning as to how this would turn out. Each of the five times I've seen the show, there's been a decent crowd in the Garter.

It seems like a lot of people stick around too (although maybe it's because they're waiting for food service while the waiter and waitress enjoy the show :) ). Some people leave during the somewhat heavy-handed Garth Brooks patriotic piece. Just a reminder you can re-live it in my videos :)

I saw it re-blocked without one of the female singers Maren and it worked just fine. They cut out the girls medley.

I was there Thursday and both Maren and Jeremy weren't there. It was still really good. The other four really stepped it up.

I've seen it a few times and I enjoyed it. RonAnnArbor is right about the slow food service though.

Hmm... i have 3 friends in the show that im really close with so every time I go i support them... I've been there 4 times this year and every time I went the show was fantastic and so was the service. I guess the waiters can't please everyone. PS- yesterday was EMPTY 10 minute waits on both Millennium and TTD. :-)

I thought TTD's line looked incredibly short on the web cam so that confirms that.

When people have to wait long for food it could also be the cooks. I usually don't order anything, I stand in the back, but watch when people do.

I see the show once or twice when I'm there. I see All Wheels Extreme once or twice also. It is cool seeing the show clips on the LED signs in front of the park.

I'm just curious as to the third person. You've mentioned Eli and Jeremy.

^ I also like seeing the clips on the LED signs. As I got into the park and as I left on Thursday, the clips were on the sign and I had to see it.

Oh, as to the food, I am completely referring to the back of the house, not the servers -- I feel sorry for the servers, they can only do what they can front of house with orders, they can't do anything about the kitchen out back. Cedar Point, however, can -- with better food prep, kitchen training, and a different menu that doesn't require more than basic plopping of things onto trays, and not waiting-for-things-to-get-cooked....

I took in the show for the second time on Saturday with my wife, very good show in my opinion even with only 5 members. We arrived about 10 minutes before start and order the Macho Nacho, came very quickly before the show. Also enjoyed the video selction they run between.
