Last couple days I'm having a frustrating problem... I come to the site and am not logged in, so I log in. The page refreshes upon my logging in, the forum home page shows me as being logged in (it shows my name under users who are logged in) but on my page I am NOT logged in (no "show posts since last visit" link at the top and is still asking for my username and password at the bottom).

This is solved easily by simply logging in again, but it is very frustrating since the system had me logged in the first time so the "show posts since last visit" link says "no new posts have been made since your last visit".

Just a big pain in the butt going topic to topic to read new posts instead of having them all laid out for me with one click. Suggestions?

ive had the same problem since the crash.. it worked fine for about a day, now i have to log in twice before it will show me as logged in. probably still some ongoing issues since the crash.

im also not getting the lil icons saying which topics have a new reply in them either. i was for a while, and now they stopped again

I've had this issue for a long time. Every once in awhile I'll get logged out (whether it's cause I clear my cookies or what not) and I try to log in and it does what you guys have been saying. However, if you log in through the private messages link, it will work right away. I'll look into the issue though.

Also you can go in to any random topic and click the CP forums button once in a topic. That's what I do.

Your thread was no help at all as my problem isn't with cookies whereas the suggestions I received in this thread were helpful. Thanks for bringing this thread back up three weeks later though lol

bryan, im still having issues logging in on the main page. i have to log in twice, at which time it deletes all of the active post icons so i have to manually search thru all of the forums to find active topics..

problem is quiet annoying and it is NOT cookies on my end. i have even opened my browser up to allow, E V E R Y T H I N G as far as cookies, and have deleted them more times than i can count. it is an issue on this site.

I just played with the configuration of the cookies in the control panel. Let me know if you experience this issue again.

I starting having trouble logging in a second ago, I don't know if it was because I clicked the Show posts since last visit for the second time or not.

Edit: oh no it's not, as soon as I posted and went back to home of the forums, I was logged out.

You might have an error initially because I changed the cookie name and path and what not, but it shouldn't persist.

I don't want to start another thread about this, and even though this is from last month, I haven't been on since then because it still keeps happening, every time I click the CPForums button, I'm logged out, and if I click a few other buttons the same thing happens. It just keeps happening over and over and I just got so tired I quit trying. Anyone have a quick fix?
